HH Seattle City Glass

So, I normally wouldnt write a review, but the bait and switch coupled with outright overcharging warrants a mention. I talked to Frank about a week ago about having a laminated piece of glass cut to a specific size. It was about two feet by three feet. He tells me about $75. I call around to two other places thinking this is pretty high as I have paid half this in the past for larger pieces. This is where it gets really interesting. One of the other places quoted $150, and the other $250. Respectively. So, thinking that maybe glass is more valuable or something than it was previously, I call back to H&H to ask why they told me they could not do "automotive" laminated glass (which there is no such thing). Different guy answers the phone and tells me there is no such thing and they certainly can do it (I should also mention this guy was talking to someone else while on the phone with me in another language, I suspect that was a conversation relating to this subject). He then asks what I was quoted and responds absolutely not for $75. Im a little astonished, but whatever, I can understand miscalculating. Well, the quote then doubled to $150 for the same glass I was quoted $75 for. So, what needs to be known here is that it appears glass companies largely are ripping off every customer. H&H is the only one getting a review due to the shady practices coupled with outright price gouging. If you need glass cut affordably, call Perkins Glass on Capitol Hill. They did the piece I needed for $30. Yes, $30 for the same glass I was quoted up to $250 for and $150 for from H&H. ALWAYS shop around. Glad I didnt get scammed.

Frank and Steve were wonderful to work with! We had an emergency need for a new patio door and they promptly came to our house to take a look and give us a quote. Communication was clear from the beginning, they showed up on time with a friendly and positive attitude, prices were very reasonable. Total scammer- I needed 2 rectanglulaar pieces of glass for the top of my aquarium. The guy quoted me $65 apiece! I went a couple of blocks up the road and got them for $16 each- $35 for both. I am so grossed-out.

Frank and his team are so nice, my mirror (which was completely shattered and the frame severely damaged) was fixed within 48 hours and looks brand new!
