Making the decision to divorce, under any circumstance, is painful and life-altering. After 42 years of marriage, my husband and I agreed on little, but what we did agree on is we did not want our divorce to be litigious nor drain our limited financial resources. We also wanted our divorce to provide honorable closure for the life we once shared and not continue hurting each other in the process. Finding Caroline Pak and the entire team at Foundations Divorce Solutions was the perfect match for these needs, and beyond what we didn't even know we needed at the time. Foundations Divorce Solutions managed each step of our divorce with expertise, efficiency, wisdom and compassion. There were the inevitable bumps and pain in the journey, but Caroline guided us masterfully through the negotiations to keep our divorce goals in focus. On a personal level, Caroline shined her light into me at my darkest time. She gave me permission to grieve when others in my life advised me to "move on". During our sessions together, Caroline re-ignited the light in me I thought was forever dimmed. She gently and compassionately encouraged me to transform my anger and pain into HOPE. Caroline never wavered in her belief that this ending was the beginning of my creating a new bigger dream for myself and encouraged me to walk towards a life calling me to be my best self. In my marriage of more than 40 years, I had not paid a bill or paid attention to our retirement savings plan.
