Ashley has proven to be one of the rare ones in the equine world. She demonstrates an unparalleled dedication to a working partnership with the horse, an ethical and honest communication style, and a kind and affirming teaching approach that is lands with myself, retuning to horses in adulthood, and my timid and anxious horse girl daughter alike. Ashley is a remarkable trainer, and any who have the opportunity to have themselves or their equines with Ashley should count themselves lucky. We are so grateful to have her in our corner as we add to our herd and grow in the sport.

I am so grateful we found Hawkins Equine for our 9year-old daughter who loves English riding. The trainer, Ashley is top notch! Prior to meeting Ashley, our daughter was at another barn, and while she enjoyed it, she was progressing slowly and did not feel very connected to her trainer. Within months of training with Ashley, our daughter showed significant improvement, increased confidence, a deeper understanding of the psychology of horses, and a renewed love for riding. Ashley is not the type of trainer who merely teaches you to ride; she teaches you how to partner with your horse- how to build a meaningful relationship so that riding becomes a beautiful dance between horse and rider. What feels most meaningful is the relationship our daughter has developed with Ashley. She LOVES her and has deep respect for her. She is always eager to get to the barn for her lesson. If you are looking for a trainer for yourself or your child, look no further. Ashley is the one!

Where to start with this review? At the center of Hawkins Equine (HE) is the love, commitment, dedication, and care for the horses. The love of and for the horses is palpable and HE is intentional about cultivating a holistic relationship between horse and rider where security and trust is mutually established resulting in the positive relationship between rider and horse. HEs focus on the importance of the interconnection between humans and horses carries over to the human relationships formed at the barn, as well, resulting in an environment where quality and authentic relationships are formed within and among riders of all ages. I understand as a parent of a young rider that the development of these skills at a foundational level starts at a young age and continues as one gets older. Ashley Hawkins, owner and trainer, in addition to being a superb trainer with an impressive riding resume is also a solidly good human being. She endeavors to make a positive impact in this industry and has undoubtedly done so in her own program- shes created a kind, loving, encouraging, inclusive and a healthy place for riders from every background to feel comfortable, safe, secure and has fostered a strong sense of community.

Ashley truly tailors lessons and training to each individual horse and rider! Nothing is cookies cutter and thats how it should be. A real focus on how to actually ride properly and incredible focus on the horses well-being as a whole. Shes the first trainer to get how our pony ticks and has helped her and my daughter succeed as a pair!! I highly recommend Hawkins Equine to anyone looking for an outstanding lesson and training program!!

Ashley has pushed my young rider out of her comfort zone in such an amazing way. Her communication is so positive and supportive, my daughter walks away from her lessons feeling so motivated and accomplished. Its Ashleys level of intuition and compassion with both rider and horse that makes her such a talented and unique horseman.
