Dr Gavin is a very caring excellent doctor..I have been seeing him since 2016 highly recommend him. If I have anything come up between appts, I leave a message on MyChart and I usually get an answer with in a couple hrs from his nurse.

One of the worst departments I have ever dealt with. Several years ago I visited one of these urology doctors and was not happy with the care I received so I only had one or two visits. This past July, my family physician requested I see a urologist and when I requested to see another doctor I was told it had to go before a review panel. after many emails, phone calls to the office, This OCTOBER I was finally told It was the policy of the department that I could not switch physicians. When I left a message to the receptionist I wanted to file a formal complaint to the manager, I was never contacted. I have since made arraignments with another urology department. There was a total lack of communication and respect to the patient from the referral office to the manager of the department. They also treated a co worker of mine the same way. Staff here is clearly not trained well and absolutely horrible at returning your call. When I first initially created the appointment they told me I was okay waiting over a month to see a doctor - only to later get in trouble by the doctor and told I should have seen him sooner. I called on three different occasions to get a hold of a nurse because I had a question and concerns. First call, they took down my information and said they would have the nurse call me, she never did. I called again and was told there was no notes in my chart about me needing a call back, and then suddenly they hung up or the call dropped. I'm not sure, but no one bothered calling me back. I called yet again, and requested I have a nurse call me back and no such luck! I wish they did a better job of communicating with the patient and getting our questions answered, it shouldn't have to be this hard to talk to someone. Absolutely dissapointed.
