My husband was on Champlaincy hospice in home care. The nurse he had Carrie a wonderful and very compassionate nurse, as soon as I would call them regardless of time of day or night they were there to help and always solved his problems very quickly. Champlaincy has a wonderful staff they were a blessing to my husband and myself. If you are wondering about hospice care I would say give Champlaincy a try I know you will be happy you did, I sure was.

I am a hospice nurse of 20 years and Ive worked as a travel nurse off and on since 2014 from Maine to Texas to Washington State. I came to Chaplaincy as a travel nurse during the end of the pandemic and was so impressed with Chaplaincy that I left my home of 50 years in Oklahoma and moved my whole family 1800 miles hear to work for Chaplaincy Hospice because its far and away the ABSOLUTE BEST hospice in the Nation. 20 years and Ive never worked anywhere that cared as much about their patients and gave as much to their patients as Chaplaincy. I love it here. After working here I wouldnt work anywhere else because nowhere else besides Chaplaincy matches my passion for end of life care like Chaplaincy does.

If you are planning on making a donation based on palliative care dDO NOT. The reason being the day of November 16 a day before I was to have an appointment I was notified that Chaplancy Healthcare shut diwn that program due to business reasons. I then found out that their are no other in home palliative care providers in the Tri- Cities because Heartlinks is no longer accepting new patients. I am a bedridden patient who counted on home palliative care and now I have to travel to Kennewick for care at least every 3 months to get my prescriptiobs even though each time I have to go out it takes me several hours to get ready because I am paralyzedvand on home dialysis 4 times a week which is exhausting. Chaplancy closed palliative care with almist no notice and no regard to its patients during the middle of a pandemic. For a Christian organization I believe this is awful and it seems they are only interested in the people that need hospice because they can make more money from them and collect better donations.

About
Tri-Cities Chaplaincy

Our heritage of compassion began in 1971, when a group of Tri-Cities churches established a program to provide outreach to people not being served in jails and nursing homes, and to people coping with dying or the loss of a loved one. In 1981, we accepted our first hospice patient. Today, Tri-Cities Chaplaincy continues to provide compassionate care to all who need it. Whether you receive hospice care, grief support or spiritual care, our comprehensive team of experts are focused on one goal: providing you with expert care so you can make the most of each moment and live your best life.

Linda, it's understandable that the closure of our palliative care program has created a considerable amount of inconvenience for you. We are truly sorry. The decision to discontinue this program was by no means an easy one. We will be reaching out to you to see if we can help you find some alternative solutions.
