The rooms are nice, though pretty dated. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, especially Ester and Morgan. The location is great as long as you have a car and/or want to be isolated. The restaurant food is absolutely horrible. Do not eat here unless the ly revamp the menu entirely. The room wasn't very clean but at least the bed was comfortable. The location is pretty and the grounds seem to be well maintained.
Nearby activities: There is nothing nearby unless you have a car. The closest anything else is 1.2 miles away, so walkable, but it's just a gas station, a coffee trailer, and a Mexican restaurant.

My husband and I have stayed at this resort multiple times, and the prices are always reasonable, especially given the fact that each room has a huge jetted tub and fireplace! The views and scenery are gorgeous even in the winter. It's so peaceful and quiet. The only thing you hear are the birds singing. The service is excellent and I highly recommend this resort!! It's quaint and has the southern charm that will make you feel like you've been transported to The Notebook movie. The only down side is the fact that there aren't many restaurants nearby. There's a Shell, coffee stand and a Mexican restaurant down the road but that's about it. The Firestone at the resort is a great farm to take restaurant but doesn't offer much vegetarian options.
