It was an incredibly peaceful and gorgeous (not to mention free) campsite. We only stayed there for a night but we felt super safe camping there. They have bathrooms and campfire pits. I definitely recommend! :)

Other reviews covered a lot of information. There are two sections of the park. One for the park, which is a great day use area and lots of trees. Gates close at night. I didn't check out the restrooms. Then there is camping area with shade or sunny spots and boat ramp where the gates stay open. This camp is MUCH more preferable than the one just above the dam. I didn't check on the dates the camp is open. The ramp is narrow, weedy, rocky and poor mooring. Camping is free along the edges of the large parking lot designated for boat trailers. One big plus for camping is a dump station with both flush water and potable water. One other reviewer said no water, incorrectly. A number of the campers used the trailer parking slots, which is fine, but each vehicle took a whole spot. If they could park two per trailer spot, that would provide more capability for boat trailers. Some of the boaters would pull out and block access for others while they finished securing things. Interesting that there is boat camping available near the swim area of the day use section of the park. The sign said something about registering, but I didn't check it out. There was a friendly host available when I camped there last week.
