I cant say enough good things about Al. I adopted my dog from the humane society and specifically told them I wanted a good walking dog. When I brought him home, I quickly learned he had severe anxiety, was fearful of other dogs, and barks incessantly on walks. I went through a year of struggling to take him anywhere with me. I thought about rehoming him or sending him back to the humane society many times. I regret not getting him in training sooner! After only 2 sessions, Ive seen a tremendous shift in my dogs confidence and mine as well. All thanks to Al educating me and showing me the right way to communicate with my dog. Highly recommend! You wont regret it! Absolutely worth every penny!

After only 1 private lesson, we have learned so much. Our dog is responding to what we have learned. I am so looking forward to learn more and to to understand our dog.

I have been meaning to write this review for awhile! My family and I can't thank Al enough for helping us with our dog, Dusty and never giving up on us! I say "us"... because we've learned that most of the time- it's about training people and not training dogs!! We got our puppy during COVID and thought that with the kids home and so much time on our hands in quarantine... we could easily train our dog ourselves. I bought the books, watched the youtube videos...and I have to say the first few months went fairly well! But as Dusty got older (about 6 months old) it became VERY APPARENT that we had not given Dusty the limits and boundaries he needed. He is a high energy Vizsla and now had NUMEROUS bad behaviors... jumping on people (and peeing on them) when they would come through the front door, plowing through kids, jumping on the table to steal food, overall not listening and the most concerning -- had begun guarding his toys and treats. I can't tell you how patient Al was. We opted for private lessons and it was DEFINITELY worth the money. Not only would Al work 1:1 with my husband, myself and my son... we were given SO MANY RESOURCES. We had videos, exercises and homework all emailed to us to do on our own between sessions. Some of Dusty's "issues" were resolved quicker than others - he learned to not jump on the table for food OVERNIGHT, he began to listen to basic commands etc. However, the guarding... well it took time. It probably would have taken LESS time if (like I said before) his owners were consistent. But Al was always there for me. On the days I wanted to cry because I thought I was never going to get it right and I'd have to get rid of Dusty out of fear of him hurting someone. I am happy to say that today we have NO GUARDING ISSUES!!!! Dusty is still a high energy pup but I walk him every day with ease (I can even periodically take him off the leash without concern) and he has learned the boundaries we have put in place. He is a completely different dog! And we owe it all to Al... and are so thankful for his patience... as we learned how to give Dusty all that he deserved.
