An employee from your grounds and maintenance division just cussed out a WinCo Self checkout employee in Lacey because he didn't think he was helped fast enough and and continued to verbally abuse her as he walked out of the store. He had his DES shirt on tucked into a pair of tactical tan pants while doing so. Having worked for the state myself I feel that sets a bad example and makes this state agency look bad.

Very concerning that the civilians that walk into this building are denied assistance. Appointment only because they are all still working from home!!!!! And the few that were walking by and being asked for help would not help! Security guards there are a joke, couldnt pick the phone up to call someone to get information from someone that may be able to assist. Paying security guards to sit in an empty building, very expensive building that the people pay for, paying these public servants to stay home and not have to be in the building to do their job when someone needs it is is unacceptable!!Everyone else is back to work and has been. What are the peoples tax money going to if you cant walk into this building and get help???No, this is not ok! That is not what We The People agreed on. This is a far cry from public service. The Department of Enterprise Services administers all contracts for work performed at Colleges throughout Washington State. They are a JOKE to deal with. Construction Companies this is for you: I would highly advise you do not do work where DES is involved financially. READ their specs closely, they cap you at 4% markup on anything over $50,000 for force account work. That don't even cover the ink and paper we use to prepare our invoice, it is straight up robbery! They have a beautiful building up in the area of the Capitol building in Olympia and it is a very relaxed quiet environment which is awesome when you are trying to get paid from them, its so lovely that they are super relaxed and never respond to you hence creating relaxation for the general public they are there to serve. Its so relaxing not getting paid for something you do for someone.
