They showed up at the property my family and I are renting unannounced and off put as to why we would not allow them entry. They claimed the property manager of the house confirmed the date to meet and allow them to enter and take photos of the house. At this point we had no verification of this to be true nor did our property manager ever show up as they claimed. No one had contacted us about the meeting prior to them showing up, neither the property management group OR them. The property management group claimed that they never set up a meeting with them on that day. Out of obvious concern we denied them entry and told them to “reschedule” then through the proper channels to ensure the whole thing was not only legitimate but also would in fact be coordinated WITH us. On the new date, a snide comment to the effect of “see how easy that was” was made eluding to the notion that we should have just allowed them entry in the first place. Conversely, the actual lesson here is you cannot show up at someone’s home unannounced and expect to gain entry. If that annoys you then perhaps working on your communication skills would be beneficial to prevent similar happenings in the future. Not to mention comments of that nature are extremely unprofessional.
