My experience at Cascade Facial Surgery & Aesthetics was wonderful from start to finish. Dr. Grant is a very kind, caring and skilled surgeon. He and his caring knowledgeable staff stood by me and answered every question and concern that I had to ensure that I experience a smooth consult, prep, surgery and follow-up. I am so delighted with my results, and I would highly recommend Dr. Grant and his staff at Cascade Facial to anyone who is considering facial surgery. It has positively changed my life for the better and has given me a reason to smile. Thank you, Dr. Grant!

I have been a client off and on for several year and feel as though this team of professionals is the best that I have ever worked with up and down I-5. You don't want to mess around when it comes to protecting your skin. I wouldn't hesitate to refer any of my friends to Dr. Grant and his team.

Unfortunately I feel like I need to write this post in hopes that those seeking upper blepharoplasty here, will reconsider. Do your research and see an occuloplastic surgeon at any cost. That is a surgeon who specialized on eyes and will know how to preserve their function and unique form. I emphatically reiterated that I wanted something conservative...and I do not feel that was heard or what I received at this establishment. The psychological, physical and emotional toll has been catastrophic for me. Ive waited 3 months to make this review, giving significant time to heal and not write out of the initial shock. I hope I can provide information that will help people avoid what Im experiencing. Physically -I am experiencing tightness, dryness and foreign body sensations 3 months since the procedure. This is supposedly very rare for this procedure and can result from over-resection. -I experienced lagophthalmos for weeks after surgery, which was scary to say the least. My eyes do not close at night when I rest, which is maddening and painful. -I have lost so much skin that I cant make the familiar expressions and it has been psychologically and emotionally devastating. -The excision scars extend beyond my eye on inside and outside. -Fat was removed from my inner sulcus and it looks gaunt -I do not feel like the form of my eye way considered or preserved. I dont recognize myself. -I cant make it through a day of work without needing to rest my eyes from strain and dryness. I cant read for long. -My crease is too high and looks very unnatural on my eyes Communication If I was given the skin-only approach blepharoplasty, and very little change, that I initially asked for I would not be needing to write this review today. It is my hopes that this establishment will strive to better listen to patients desires, not to coerce them into practices they have stated they dont want. I communicated how conservative I would like to be. "No muscle, no fat. Instead of this becoming a conversation about what exactly I meant I was convinced a little fat was necessary to remove. Next, on the day of surgery (when I was very nervous and not in a place to advocate for myself) I was suggested a little muscle too. I wish I was in a better state of mind. (Do your research on this fat and excessive skin removal is antiquated as it can leave you skeletonized and looking older. Fat does not grow back. Muscle resection increases your chance of inadequate blink pressure.) I wasnt asked about my eye history, or evaluated physically at all before surgery. I dont know why this wasnt such a huge red flag for me at the time, being such a precious and complex part of the body. In retrospect, a surgeon might have recommend non-surgical intervention for a 33 year old with skin redundancy that obsessively reiterated conservative and natural and I dont want to change my hooded eyes and I want to minimize risk of functional issues as much as possible and I dont need more eyelid platform. Before surgery, I brought a list of questions and was very adamant about details. I dont feel like these were taken seriously (which made me feel like they were overly-dramatic.) I was not shown the mirror after my eyes were drawn upon (a moment that may have allowed me to realize that a grave miscommunication had happen.) My concerns have continued to be brushed off and taken lightly. I am constantly told I had a conservative and great result. That I must have had dry eyes before not so at all. And if it was so, I should not have been considered candidate for this surgery. This experience has devastated my every waking and sleeping hour and I would do anything to return my eyes to their natural state.
