Referred me to a colleague at 5pm on a Friday I had the necessary tests today so Im moving in the right direction with my treatment options

We made an appointment with Jonathan B. Shafer in Mt. Vernon for an exam and a second opinion on a surgery I had with a different physician. In advance, we sent radiology results over, so the physician (Shafer) could be informed, and it would be helpful for the exam. When I inquired to make sure the images had been received, a representative called us back and confirmed that they had been received. When we arrived for the visit, Dr. Shafer told us that he did not have the images. Luckily I had an e-mail with some of the images from Mt. Baker Imaging and sent it to Shafers nurses e-mail, so he could get a look (although the quality is far superior when they are received in the proper way). After looking at the images, Shafer sat w/us in his office and stated there is nothing he could say without the surgeons notes (odd). I asked him to examine me, which was the main purpose of the visit, but he did not do so, insisting he needed notes (I did not ask for an opinion on notes, I made the appt. to be examined). I then disputed the charges w/ my credit card co., and instead of replying to the dispute, Proliance Surgeons NW Orthopedic sent me an invoice and tagged on an extra $20 fee! Nobody bothered to contact us to find out why we were dissatisfied. This unprofessional conduct was a very disappointing experience.

Dr. Herbie Yung is great! He was highly recommended by my physical therapist and is now highly recommended by me. Dr. Yung is very considerate. He listens to my concerns and symptoms, then quickly determines the best solution and takes the time to explain my options. If you have chronic spinal pain, you should make an appointment with Dr. Yung.

The staff is friendly, compassionate , kind and extremely helpful. Being off my ankle for 8 months was hard, but the doctors here make my rehab feel attainable and theyre extremely helpful and supportive. 10/10 would recommend. Dr Brett Nelson is wonderful.
