3 weeks ago my daughters car was stolen from the planet fitness parking lot in Milton. They went into the womens locker room, used bolt cutters and cut her lock. They took her wallet, ID, credit and debit cards, cash, and car keys. Then walked out to the parking lot and took her car. This has been an absolute nightmare, within 24 hours they had already attempted to also steal her identity. Luckily we were on top of it but Im sure its not over. Now we are faced with replacing a paid for perfectly good car, her first car we gave her on her 16th birthday. Not only the feeling of being violated and victimized but now thousands of dollars to replace this car. This is a much longer story, but my point of posting this is to let the community know what is happening at planet fitness. This is a well coordinated crime. I recently found out another car was stolen on March 15th in the exact same manner. I also know of prior thefts in the recent past as well. Today I spoke with a manager at planet fitness. I asked if they are actively doing anything to make their business safe for members. This person was very open and apologetic but was also very honest. Planet fitness has a new ownership and to her best knowledge has no plan for increased security in parking lot or locker room. It doesnt sound like they have any plans to do anything. I suggested security at the door, one of those parking lot robo cop type of camera system that runs on solar, locker room attendant, etc. This post is not meant to be negative or slam planet fitness. I think its a great gym. My daughter loved it and was doing really good. But if its not safe, its not worth the membership costs. I would love if the new owners chimed in this conversation, until then everyone please be aware.

NEW OWNERS, PLEASE GO BACK TO 24 HOURS! Was my favorite PF, no longer 24 hours as of 12/1, which kinda screws the handful of us there at 1:30am. Definitely cater to the 9-5ers with these new hours, heard its a corporate change though, that apparently makes it better. The gym and staff are awesome, the new hours earned the 3 stars
