MacKaye Harbor Inn

This is a gem of place on the south part of the island. Gorgeous setting across from the water, really peaceful, but yet a quick drive to the "busier" parts of the island. The Inn is beautiful - charming and nicely appointed. Doug and Michele make you feel at home and serve up a delicious breakfast. They were super kind and really fun to get to know as they've had an interesting journey that brought them out to Lopez. We will definitely be coming back!

I need to warn you, once you stay here you will never want to leave! The couple that runs the inn is as sweet, helpful, and amazing as they come. The property is right on the prettiest calmest water with breathtaking sunsets. The breakfast was amazing, the recommendations of things to explore were perfect, and the room was calming and peaceful. We left already looking at our calendars on when we can return again. You will not be disappointed.

Such a fantastic experience!! Michele rescued us the first night!! The ferry on the way in had to turn around due to a medical emergency, forcing a two hour delay to our arrival on Lopez Island. That meant we would be too late for dinner in their sleepy post-Covid town and have to go to bed hungry. But not to be dismayed! We called Michele at Mackaye Harbor Inn, shared our dilemma, and she said, no problem, Ill fetch you dinner. We arrived to pizza and wine and a simply wonderful evening conversation on our arrival, and that set off the most relaxing experience of our entire trip!! All that, and what a view!!!
