Best dental office I have had over the years. Dr. Gourley is compassionate and technically superb. Amber, the hygienist is the best. She took the time to educate me about caring for my teeth plus she did a great job cleaning my teeth. The office personnel take the time to inform me about the cost of procedures that I will undertake. I have never given the this information at previous dental offices i have used. I hate going to the dentist but Apple Family Dentist changes my attitude about going to the dentist.

i just want to preface this with the fact that i do not leave reviews. that is not something i have ever done. if i could give this place zero stars i would. the first time i went in for a cleaning i thought this place was very nice. the dental hygienist was so sweet and we really connected. very kind and very thorough. i went on their website to see what her name was and i believe she no longer works there. the rest of the staff was nice. the actual dentist is the only one i have a problem with. i went in yesterday to have a couple fillings repaired and had the worst experience i have ever had at a dentist. i like going to the dentist. i have never had a bad experience. until this time. they asked me if i could come in early for my appointment which i was perfectly okay with. as soon as i got there they sat me in the chair and numbed me. i then sat there for 30-45 waiting on the dentist. no big deal. i understand busy schedules. the dentist then came in and started working on me for about 10 mins and then had to leave me to help another customer. i was still very understanding at this point. the dentist then gets back and tries to start drilling on the completely wrong side of my mouth that isnt numb when the dental assistant had to pipe up and tell her that was the wrong side. she starts working on the correct side and then her phone rings oh i have to take this and stops working on me again. it was about having a tv delivered. she then continues for another 20 minutes and her phone rings again. oh i have to take this and she walks away again. all the while my mouth is propped open and my numbness is wearing off. at the end of the appointment i told her that my tooth felt very rough still and she quickly attempted to fix it a couple times. i told her when she was done that it still didnt feel right and she said that i was done and if anything was off to just come back. i live an hour and a half away and i had to take the day off work to be able to come in the first place. all of this on top of the amount of pain i was in because she was being extremely rough the entire time. my jaw is still sore to the point of not being able to open my mouth. she was moving very frantically like she was trying to rushing through it the entire time. she acted inconvenienced everytime i would wince in pain. i was fight back tears the entire time. long story short i will never be stepping foot in that place of business again. and i would never suggest going there to ANYONE. severely unprofessional.

My daughter has a sensory disorder. Shes easily overwhelmed and has a fear of needles. The dentist had zero patience for my daughter and told her she just needed to grow up. This was offensive enough, but then the office called later to suggest they should set up additional resources before seeing my other daughter, because they assume she must have a disorder as well. Not having the skills to deal with a young patient with anxiety or special needs is not a problem, as long as you acknowledge that limitation and refer those patients to other practices. Its appalling that this dentist first chose to belittle my daughter and tell her to just grow up before referring us elsewhere, as if my child can control whats wrong with her. Its even worse that they make the assumption that my other child has the same issues.
