Second time staying. First time they were remodeling during COVID. This time with friend double Queen room. We did 2 nights. Rooms very basic, no coffee machine, limited space for unpacking belongings and toiletries. No drawers or space at sink for toiletries. We were on third floor in our building with no elevators. Light from digital clock very bright at night. Fan in bathroom has heat that could not be turned down ( very hot). Shower decent with shower products, but bathroom was very small. Sink separate from bathroom. They have a pool and several small saunas. After 9 is suppose to be for adults only. The only problem was we went to the pool and saunas on stormy night at a separate building just prior to 9pm. There were no towels left, kids filled 2 of the saunas and the 3rd sauna door was left wide open and was cold. There was a phone at the pool but did not work. There were no phones in the rooms. So I called the front office using my cell phone, to my surprise an answering service answered saying there was no one available. The only good thing this trip was the ocean board walk and path were nearby to take advantage of. Will not return. Very disappointed. Lack of attention and detail to this hotel. Payed over $500 for 2 nights. Dont waste your money. Walkability: Beach easy walk Food & drinks: Bar/Restaurant top floor main buildingJust ok

I love the Adrift and have been staying here since they opened. This visit was great as theyve added many fun accommodations like the pool and saunas, the little seating area at the pool, and the coffee bar. Theres no better views in all of Long Beach and we will return but we have a few suggestions for the hotel: update your mattresses and pillows!! Holy moly we had two nights of terrible sleep due to low quality, uncomfortable beds and pillows. Pillows like the flattest pancakes youve ever had. Lumpy beds that curve in the middle. Thin scratchy sheets, thin blankets. You guys are making boat loads of money and this one little upgrade would really benefit your guests. Also our bathroom had a little blood splatter on the wall, dirty rusted shower head, and our jets in the jetted tub didnt work. Our other complaint is that the pool never had any towels and the phone at the pool was broken and you couldnt call for towels. A broken phone at a pool seems like a liability for obvious reasons. Hopefully you guys take this seriously and consider the investment of new bedding!

Excellent spa amenities, and perfect access to the beach. Definitely making this a go to getaway spot! Nearby activities: Plenty of restaurants and activities within walking distance, beach access galore

Spa is run separately & it was lovely on past visits 2023-2022. Hotel tried & was vastly disappointed. Ocean view nice & easy beach access. Things I expected given the gloss on website & visiting lobby previously were a mid-range luxury. Prior I haven't had to make a reservation to eat on a Saturday, Sunday or Monday (any meal time). At checkin family member was told the restaurant was even too busy for room service (wth?). Hotel is dog friendly. Hotel is noisy, management knows this as rooms come with cheap ear plugs. They don't help & frankly, "cozy package" add-on should be dropped as it's not possible between zero quiet hours & number of families with unsupervised kids. I like kids. I don't like kids at 7:30 am playing ping pong on a Sunday morning outside my door when paying over $240 a night. Room was clean but it have two maintenance issues. As there was no comment card or maintenance card to report, it tracked with management indifference. Misbilling on checkout was blamed on inadequately trained new hires. Yep, that tracks on management style still. Hotel lobby does have coffee, tea. Each time I had to go ask for staff to fill carafes (hot water and/or coffee) as they were empty. Advise: stay if you have kids & don't wish to supervise them. If you wish a relaxing weekend stay elsewhere & book spa service. 3 out of 5 stars

This hotel has a great location and is very cute. They have done some updates but its far from a standard hotel. There is a lot of wear and tare from being on the beach basically. The room we were in wasnt that clean, it had rusted out baseboard heat, the shower had huge clumps of hair in the tub and didnt drain while showering, we had a few very large spiders in our room as well, the bed was TERRIBLE the worst bed Ive ever had in a hotel as well as the pillows our friends were in a different room and had the same complaints. The room smelt a bit off as well. Another thing to add was the two way mirror in our friends room, no top locks for safety and the dead bolt unlocks when you pull the handle so any of our kids could escape the room, especially since their bunk room was located right by the main door. I wish Id know these things ahead of time so I could have packed a lock and taken other safety measures. The coffee was the best part of the hotel and the service was nice as well. The location is great but I wouldnt stay here again.
