A colleague got married and we called the hotel to request a gift card and a note from the team to the room as a little surprise for the couple. Paula from the service desk messed up the gift card, billed a different amount (off by about 1k) and then the gift card was never given to the couple. Simple ask. Giant fail and nothing offered to offset the mistake. I get mistakes are made but if youre hosting someones mini moon, try a little harder.

PostHotel is renowned as the premier hotel in WA, boasting top-tier amenities. However, we were surprised by the manner in which difficult situations were handled, which fell far short of expectations, especially considering our recent dreadful experience. We came here with my husband to celebrate my birthday with a getaway and some relaxation, leaving our three kids at home. Firstly, our room wasn't ready for three hours after check-in. Finally, we received our keys at 6 PM. However, there was an accident in the room, and it smelled strongly of cleaning chemicals. We went back to the front desk to ask someone to check the room. Two people came up and entered the room. One of them, Andrey, said it smelled super fresh and very clean, while the other worker agreed that it smelled very bad. Andrey apologized, saying, "Sorry about that, bad stuff happens." To cut a long story short, we were given a room in another hotel nearby because there were no other rooms available in the PostHotel. When we returned to the front desk in the morning, we had a conversation with the manager and the GM. They apologized and offered a discount in the amount of price difference between Post and the hotel we stayed which was half the price and obviously ten times worse than Post. They also said we could use the PostHotel facilities for the rest of the day. We were so upset and suggested that it would be fair to simply refund our stay, which they did after confirming that we did not use any amenities or breakfast in the morning. They promptly took our keys and didnt even offer breakfast. To be fair, we should mention that we did use the spa and sauna on the previous day while waiting for our room and after being informed that we had to move to another hotel. However, changing three times in the restroom and carrying all your clothes with you is not a pleasant experience. That's it. We left with our birthday celebration ruined and with the refund that we dont really need.
