First Command Financial Advisor - Ryan Feng

My wife and I have been with First Command a little over 25 years, so we have had many Advisors. Some really good, and some not so. Mr. Feng rates among the top in our opinion. Although only meeting with him 3 times, he has made it a seamless transition from our outgoing Advisor. He has suggested some changes to our plan, and we feel he understands our goals and that these changes will better help us achieve them. We feel confident that Mr. Feng is looking out for our better interests and look forward to working with him for years to come.

Meeting Ryan in the church, and talking with him about my goals. At the beginning, I dont know how to make more specific plan to meet my goal and just save the money in the bank. He shares tons of information about investment tools, resources of my retirement income, how to increase my returns from TSP account, what else I can start right now to meet my goal before first official meeting. He helps me personalize short term goal and long term goal investment plans and makes sure everything matches my needs, no influence to my daily life. He is willing to share what he knows. Never hesitate to ask him questions, he is a great financial resource gained spot. He has military life so he also gives me some suggestions about my career after listening to my plan. He is trustworthy and thoughtful.

We've had 3 sessions with Ryan so far going over everything from our budget, financial goals, and protecting assets. We will be going over building assets next time. I've met with many other financial advisors before and they were not nearly as thorough, knowledgeable, and concise as Ryan or First Command. The sessions are free for active duty military and I wish we had this resource in my last base. I can't recommend Ryan enough for organizing all of your financial aspects especially if you are military!

Ryan is extremely helpful, knowledgeable. He is actively sharing information about TSP, IRA, financial management and anything I am interested. At first meeting, he spent hours patiently answering questions and helping me with TSP set up. Though during readiness day, I already had finance briefing about TSP, its still not good enough, especially if deserves higher returns through TSP. Thank you Ryan, I will keep in touch with you!

I first met Ryan at the USO; where him and his colleague wanted to promote themselves as financial advisors for veterans. I became interested in eliminating my debt, investing in my future, being fiscally smarter with my hobbies, and overall, be better at managing my finances. So I grabbed a business card from him, filled out some contact information for him to call me if he wanted, then we both went on about our day. Several days later, Ryan called me asking if I wanted to meet him so we could introduce each other and I accepted. Who knew that once we met, my financial problems would be solved almost immediately? It started with telling Ryan what my financial goals were and what kind of debt I had. He worked hard to teach me the difference between good debt and bad debt, how much money I would have if I invested in however amount until I retire, and worked on getting me approved for a consolidation loan to combat the interest I had on my debt. Overall, I couldn't be more thankful with how much he has helped me in just a short amount of time. He's very approachable, easy to talk to, and if you give him to opportunity to make your world better, he will do just that! High recommended!
