Horrible school. They kicked out my special needs child. They were completely aware she was special needs and they kicked us our without notice. Keep scrolling, this place is terrible.

I don't typically write reviews but my family had a really frustrating time with Kids Way. My son had never been in any type of childcare situation before and because of covid hasn't been able to do as much socializing as he should have been. On the second day that he attended, the director called us and told us he is way behind, and even took it upon herself to fill out the CDC milestone checklist and sent it home for us to review and add things we thought she missed. She didn't mark over 90% of the checklist, whereas we marked  almost every box except a couple that had to do with his speech. Their recommendation was for him to get speech therapy, so we immediately scheduled an assessment, where we learned that he barely qualified to receive it.In the days following this, we asked his teachers each day "how was he today?" Each time we were told that he was doing much better. Once or twice, we were given something to work on at home with him, however, none of them seemed too concerning to them.After his 12th day attending, they called us again and told us that he is not progressing fast enough and he needs to be in a toddler class (apparently 2 1/2 years old isn't a toddler anymore). It didn't matter that we were scheduled to do speech therapy, they just told us that "he is just going to fall further behind".  I can not explain how incredibly frustrating and disappointing this whole experience was. Isn't the point of preschool to help them learn and get ready for school? If these people are "educators," shouldn't they make some kind of effort to help a child that they think is going to "fall behind"? Apparently if a child shows signs of difficulty, say a speech delay, then they give up on them. I guess this is where the system starts failing our kids.

Kids Way has been so fantastic for our family. I went on several tours of local child care facilities and this one was exceptional. From the moment we walked in the door on our very first tour, we were welcomed in by warm staff members. Everyone is nurturing and the kids are happy and well taken care of. Our daughter started when she was 2.5 years old and had been at Kids Way for 3 years. She LOVES it. Every morning she asks if it's a 'school day'. The preschool and PreK programs use fantastic curriculum and our daughter has grown so much under their care. Our daughter will be off to Kindergarten in the fall, and as an elementary school teacher, I know she is more than prepared now. We are excited for our son to start at Kids Way when he is 2.5. We seriously can't wait. Thank you Miss Kymm for opening your school. We highly recommend it to everyone.
