The sellers chose the title company but we were very pleased with every interaction. Office staff was friendly and very communicative. The couple times I had questions Hester was available and explained things in great detail that made it easy to understand. Our closing was smooth sailing from start to finish. All the documents were presented in a timely fashion and were easy to navigate through. Overall I will recommend to friends and family looking to close.

First American Title had a cyber security breech in December 2023, which delayed our clients closing. I was assured we would just do a delayed funding once everything was up and running and everything was good to go. When their systems came back online, it was discovered that we would now have to make the clients sign again and extend closing. Unfortunately, our lock had expired in the mean time. Since I was assured we were closed and everything was fine a costly lock extension wasn't done prior. First American Title refused to pay my tolerance cure for the lock extension without passing on the cost to the client. They argued that doing so would raise the clients cash to close. Since I wasn't ok with passing this fee onto my clients, I opted to do the right thing and eat the cost. FAT cost me $522 due to their own cyber security breech. I will never do business with FAT again and hope my co workers will avoid them as well.
