I had a front office employee who unwittingly signed a 5 year contract with them. she thought she could cancel anytime, but that was just to postpone a pickup. i was bound by the contract for 5 years or a $2000 cancellation fee. The contract just autorenewed as i missed the 60 day notification window and now i am stuck for another 5 years, or pay 50% of the average pickup fee ($2000). I feel this company's policy was predatory on my employee and that the automatic extension of the contract for an additional 5 years located in the fine print and their inflexibility to cancel it without penalty is an unfair business practice. i could not recommend them any less. UPDATE: I sent an email 6 days ago to the email you provided and received NO RESPONSE. If your offer to help resolve this is genuine, my company is Advantage Physical Therapy in Redmond and you should have my contact info to reach out to me.

We had been using Stericycle for many years without incident. However, it seems that in the last few years, their service has deteriorated, in terms of coming when scheduled and then making excuses of not being in the area. In addition, they refuse to "touch" the biohazard and insist that our staff do all of the work that Stericycle used to do. The most frustrating thing is that we can only speak to the central line and not our branch that does the pick up so the hold times are incessant and then the person has to be the messenger between our office and the branch so the wait times are even longer. If there was another company to use, I'd leave Stericycle in an instant

Interviewed for a non CDL route driver position. Everything was going well until the HR screener indicated that the positon was federally regulated and a FMSCA DOT drug screening and post hire random DOT testing would be required. TO BE CLEAR MY CDL HAS BEEN SURRENDERED. For a regulatory compiance company you would think they would be hiring within the boundries of regulatory law. SEE BELOW for source Testing Pool Inclusions: Can an employer include in the DOT random testing pool non-CDL drivers who operate motor vehicles weighing less than 26,001 pounds? FMCSA-D&A-382.305-FAQ007 tmw.docx (27.12 KB) Guidance on whether non-DOT covered employees may be placed in the DOT random testing pool. Question Testing Pool Inclusions: Can an employer include in the DOT random testing pool non-CDL drivers who operate motor vehicles weighing less than 26,001 pounds? Answer No, an employer may not include non-CDL drivers in the DOT random testing pool. See 49 CFR 382.103, 40.347(b)(2) The DOT and FMCSA drug and alcohol testing regulations apply to any person who is subject to the CDL requirements of 49 CFR part 383 and who operates a CMV, as defined in 382.107, in commerce. An employer may perform testing beyond that required by the DOT rules, but the employer may not represent such testing as a DOT test and must place non-DOT covered employees in a random drug and alcohol testing pool that is completely separate from the random testing pool for DOT-covered employees. See 382.305, question15. Regulatory Topic: Guidance on whether non-DOT covered employees may be placed in the DOT random testing pool.
