Full disclosure: this is my personal experience with this business and the review is based on my opinion of what happened. We had the unfortunate experience of a water heater busting and suddenly flooding our garage and then flooding into the house. I hope no one ever has to go through this experience, but I did want to express our gratitude to AWR and especially John! John came to our house within 40 minutes of calling and set up dehumidifiers and fans on a Saturday evening. I think the damage would have been much worse if he had not come out so quickly. They were great in communication, sent messages to let us know when they were on their way and also made sure to reach out to us each time they came to the house to give us updates and assessments of the situation. John did his best effort to minimize excessive removal of planking and walls, and because they came so early our walls were spared. However, I was not happy and disappointed working with the financial department. They sent an invoice to the insurance for a final price and listed the price as non negotiable. After everything was submitted to insurance and insurance approved covering the cost, the finance department added an additional cost and charged a higher cost since they said they forgot to include the tax (which was an additional 500 dollars). I felt it was unprofessional to send an invoice to me and the insurance that was final and non negotiable , have it accepted and covered by the insurance, and then turn around and say sorry we forgot to include this cost and then charge additional money to the price that they originally wrote was non negotiable. I wish their finance department did a better job the first time around because their mistake and error made going through insurance more burdensome , submitting more paperwork, negotiating with the insurance adjuster, explaining why the insurance needed to send more money because the first invoice was wrong and the newer invoice was more expensive, etc. This is why Im leaving a 2 star review. Had I not had this issue with finances, I wouldve said this was a 5 star experience.
