I retained John Frequell, John issued a promise on which I signed a contract and deposited $5,0000, per his request. John reneged on his promise, withheld information from me and failed to follow my instructions which he had promised he would. The contract I signed with John and Divorce lawyers for men states, that I would be provided client file documents as they are received and generated. I have never received them, specifically I wanted the email and other communications with the opposing counsel. John negotiated a counter offer without my knowledge or consent and likes to use verbal conversations to facilitate his disregard for the clients objectives and goals, instead placing his goals and objectives as the clients. If you happen to retain this person make sure you have everything in writing or recorded, otherwise you are at the mercy of a well versed manipulator of facts, that uses his statements to infer your agreement and consent to his unauthorized actions I still have not received the documents stipulated by contractual agreement by John Frequell and Divorce Lawyers for Men officers. who share mutual responsibility and the profits on a 60/40 split. The WABA,Discplinary Process is worthless in pursing a grievance do not waste your time, energy or frustration, I am a disabled veteran with multiple health issues, requested assistance and was denied, 71 yrs old, half blind, with debilitating anxiety and severe carpal tunnel in both wrist and hand, I received absolutely no assistance. I hired John for an excessive amount to stand in on a phone call. All of the necessary documentation was completed and filed. All he had to do was talk for probably 15 minutes or less. He first asked for $3,000 to do this. After negotiating we agreed to $1,000 flat rate for the phone call only. The other party didnt confirm and the hearing never happened. John then made up hours titled prep work took my money and ran. There was no prep, all the documents were prepared and we covered everything in a free phone consultation. When I inquired about getting my money back he took 85%. He literally did nothing. I have family in law out of state and they were appalled by this situation. Theres two types of attorneys: attorneys to make money and attorneys to help people. John only cares about your money. Hes an unethical, well educated crook.
