Couldn't find a way to get in. Completely fenced in and locked at the gate. I'm kind of surprised at how limited the access is to the school's playgrounds during the summer.

Excellent park! Pretty hard to find if you dont know where youre going. Park at the back of the elementary school lot and walk up the path toward the game fields. There is a small sign near the entrance to the path that mentions The Kids Gig and thats how youll know youre headed in the right direction. Note: its only open outside of school hours.

A great little park. Old school wood structures of varrying age range and ability. You have to park at the elementary school or the athletic field parking and walk in.

This playground is a hidden gem. Community volunteers built in in 2001 and its castle/fort vibe inspires games of make believe and hide-and-seek. Organizers also added artistic embellishments to the playground's walls, panels, rooftops, and bridges that are inspired by special landmarks around Gig Harbor and the Puget Sound. Examples: A Fort Nisqually lookout tower, a wiggly-wobbly Galloping Gertie chain bridge, and a Shenandoah fishing boat climber. The playground also has slides, two types of tire swings (but no regular swings), monkey bars, balancing beams and more. Plus, the entire thing is fenced in. The only bummer is there are no public restrooms there and the playground is only open outside of school hours since it's located on the campus of Discovery Elementary School (but was made for the school and for the public). Definitely our favorite park in town!
