San Juan Safaris - Whale Watching

So we were on island for a week and decided to book 2 kayak trips and a whale watching trip. Our second kayak trip was flipped to another whale watching trip since the winds were 25 mph that day. so the nice lady switched our trip to another whale trip and it was epic. Seeing orca in the wild IS NOT a everyday adventure yall so under stand that going in, but we did get to see 2 humpbacks, a grey and 50 seal. Maxx is a great guide and extremely knowledgeable on the whale boats and Andrew is extremely knowledgeable and a fabulous kayaking guide.

They have a system and so its almost guaranteed you will get to watch an orca! It may feel like they oversold seats but it wont be long before people start moving around anyway so it doesnt matter. They also have food on-board which was a pleasant surprise.

We booked the BIG boat with San Juan Safari for 124 of our wedding guests as a excursion. They were so wonderful to work with. They provided the drinks onboard, while we had a caterer in Friday Harbor meet them at the boat before picking us all up at Roche Harbor. We saw 6 Orca's- and so many guests hadn't seen an Orca before so it was such a special memory. I was so at ease with them, even with my wedding the next day!

Such a great experience put on by San Juan Safaris! Excellent naturalists and Olivia was so helpful with learning about the whales and other wildlife we saw. Will go back again!
