He has been great he answered all my questions both before and after surgery. I feel bad that he did all that surgical work on my leg and then i reinjured myself twice post surgery. Hes been great throughout this whole process though

I felt very safe with dr hou, his whole team was super patient with me, answered all my questions thoroughly, and my surgery has had no complications so far! Everythings been going wonderfully and Im super grateful to have a doctor I can trust.

After a visit with Dr. Hou ($800 for 30 minutes), I came away pretty confused about my knee surgery. I don't think he actually listened to who I was. He left a healthy amount of surgical notes in my record. Felt more like a diary for him to remember me, not my personal MyChart. Fast-forward to 4 months later: I try to book another appointment (perhaps another $800?) for him to finalize a decision on surgery. After 3 weeks of no response, I get a one line response in email: "We don't know when Dr. Hou will be back." I call in to ask what this means, only to find out he's on paternity leave, with no return date. And I'm told I can see another surgeon. Who I've never met. I'm a healthy, active person with a fair sense of how decimated the medical industry is since COVID. The Everett Clinic / Polyclinic has lost my trust and respect, and made me feel like a nameless money bag. I've moved on to a better provider. Shame on Everett Clinic and Optum; the for-profit corporation who is cashing in on billions ($6.5 as of May 2023).

Dr Hou took all the time necessary to explain what he was seeing on the MRI of my husbands knee, and when an accident at work later happened, Dr Hou ordered a follow up MRI and explained the differences between the two MRIs. He explained the surgery that was needed, the type of follow up care, how much time off work my husband will need, and what to do in the years going forward to prevent a total knee replacement in the future. He gave excellent referrals for the physical therapy post surgery. The surgery itself was professionally conducted in a sterile environment with very good tech-support and nurses. He answered every question we could possibly have and if my husband ever needs any surgeries in the future, we will use the same surgeon. He was awesome. I cant recommend him enough.
