Eastsound Suites Luxury Vacation Condos, Orcas Island

Eastsound Suites was the perfect place during my visit to Orca. Loved the location - near lots of wonderful restaurants, cool boutiques and near the natural beauty of the island. Super comfortable beds, big bathrooms and an open kitchen living room that was very comfortable.

My fianc and I thoroughly loved our stay at Eastsound Suites. We booked 3 days / 2 nights over this last MLK weekend which turned out to be frigidly cold with temps near zero with windchill on Friday night and Saturday morning. Nonetheless, our unit was warm, cozy and well appointed with a wonderful gas fireplace adjoining the main entertainment area and bedroom. The view from the balcony is incredible given the unit is immediately on the Main Street of downtown Eastsound. There are numerous shopping, art gallery and dining options within a 5 minute walk - including the Brown Bear Bakery which comes highly recommended (they open at 8 am and sell out quickly so get there early). We dined both evenings at the Madrona Grill and loved their view, down-home fill along with a great cocktail and wine list to accompany dinner. Leslie was a wonderful host, very responsive in short periods of time and proactive in sending along shopping/dining/adventure options around Orcas Island. Check in was super easy and theres dedicated parking behind the unit. We will definitely be back and highly recommend Eastsound Suites!

I have enjoyed my stay at the East Sound Suites many times. Clean, beautifully furnished, well-located, and with beautiful views of the Sound, the East Sound Suites was perfect for our many visits to Orcas Island. Rooms: Luxurious bathrooms, beautiful and tasteful bedding, kitchens that provide all ones needs, comfort and a fireplace! Nearby activities: Hiking up Mt. Constitution, visiting fine art galleries, having a beer at the Tavern, looking out over the vast waterscapeand so much more! Safety: I felt very safe during my stay! The second floor accommodations, over a couple of beautiful shops, fell very safe in the small town. Walkability: The East Sound Suites is in the midst of shopping and restaurants in East Sound! Food & drinks: There are many restaurants (and a next door bakery!) within walking distance. The Barnacle is not to be missed for noteworthy libations!

JUST STAY AWAY! After hearing much about the Eastsound Suites Luxury Vacation Condos, my expectations were high. Unfortunately, my experience was far from luxurious, leaving me with a sour taste and a vow never to return. Firstly, the check-in process was a fiasco. Despite arriving during the designated time, our room was not ready, and the staff seemed more perturbed by our presence than apologetic for the delay. When we finally gained access to our condo, the promise of luxury was immediately dashed by the sight of worn furnishings that seemed to have been chosen for endurance rather than comfort or style. The suite, although spacious, was marred by a persistent musty odor that no amount of airing out could dispel. The cleanliness left much to be desired with surfaces that felt sticky to the touch and a bathroom that had mysterious stains in the corners. For accommodations that pride themselves on being upscale, the reality was a harsh letdown. Technological amenities were equally disappointing. The Wi-Fi was as unpredictable as the weather outside, making it nearly impossible to plan our daily excursions with any confidence. The much-touted entertainment system boasted a collection of channels that were either unavailable or plagued with poor reception. But perhaps the most egregious issue was the noise. The walls must be paper-thin, as we could hear every step and conversation from the condos above and beside us. This was a far cry from the serene island retreat we were promised. We felt like we were in a preschool. The surrounding locale did provide some solace with its natural beauty, but this was no thanks to the Eastsound Suites themselves. Any attempt to seek assistance from the condo staff about local attractions was met with disinterest, leaving us to fend for ourselves. The final straw came with a myriad of hidden charges that surfaced at checkout, an unpleasant surprise that felt more like a daylight robbery. The lack of transparency regarding costs was deeply unsettling and not honest. In conclusion, Eastsound Suites Luxury Vacation Condos fell woefully short of delivering the premium experience they advertise. With subpar service, questionable cleanliness, and a total disregard for guest comfort, I cannot recommend this establishment to discerning travelers seeking a true luxury experience on Orcas Island.

The location is excellent, right in the heart of downtown. The place was clean. However, not enough towels and had to call for more coffee (only one provided for a four night stay). The biggest problem was the noise next door. Yes, it is not the owners fault but I do fault them for not providing more information about Quiet Hours. There were multiple signs and notices about recycling but not a mention of how your noise might disturb your neighbors. Unless you need an A+ location, for the high price I would stay somewhere else.
