I signed the contract for training on 5/18/19 with my trainer, Marianna, who was having family issues and unable to keep our original appointment, so I emailed them asking if there was another trainer available as Marianna wasn't available for a month. They said Bud could work with us and we set up and appointment for 6/2/19 to meet him in a parking lot near Bass Pro and the initial appointment would take about 1-1 1/2 hours. The initial meeting was fine, but after he took my dog approximately 300 yards to the other side of the parking lot, he was out there for 3 hours with her, which at the time, I appreciated the additional time he spent with her, but I did not plan for that amount of time away from home. What I didn't find helpful was that he took her out of visual and hearing distance from me, so I had no idea what he was saying to her or how he was training her, which was the whole point of me hiring a dog trainer, was to find out how to train my dog. If I had wanted him to solely train her, I would've done the board & train program, but I wanted to know how to train my dog so I could continue training at home. He sent me a bunch of YouTube videos of him training other dogs and I attempted to replicate his methods without success. I texted him on 6/13/19 for advice with no response, so I texted the same request on 6/15/19 to which he responded with some suggestions. I tried his suggestions without success, so, on 6/16/19, I emailed requesting a refund of the remaining sessions and offered to return the collar. He responded via text and, to his credit, he used one of his board & train dogs to make a YouTube video addressing my concerns. But if I wanted to train my dog using YouTube videos, I could've saved myself over $500 and used the plethora of free videos to train my dog. That was not why I paid and hired a professional dog trainer, I wanted someone to teach me how to train my specific dog, not a random dog he had already been working with. 6/19/19 was the last correspondence I had with anyone from Off-Leash K9 Training Seattle/ Tacoma, no one called, emailed, or texted. I feel I was clear in my expectations for training my dog, I wanted someone to teach me how to train my dog so I could continue that training at home. What I received for over $500 was 1 3-hour session to which I could not see or hear what was being done and a couple YouTube videos of him training other dogs, which I could've gotten for free on YouTube. They got my money before the first session and I haven't heard anything from them in 5 months.

Bud is an excellent, hard working trainer that will make sure that your satisfied with your dog's training. He has competitive pricing and is flexible with timing and scheduling. My dog Wini has come a long way with her dog aggression issues since we started with Bud.

We have LOVED our experience with Off-Leash K9 and our trainer, Marianna. We were struggling with recall with our 1.5yo German Shepherd, attention, and socialization. Within a week, we started to see improvement in his recall and confidence. Marianna not only helped me to start to understand how to work with my dog, but helped me learn so much as a handler. We still have a bit of training left, but by far this company has been the turning point for our training! Special thanks to Maran, who helped us get started and worked through downed internet and the spring snow storms to help us get started! An amazing team, through and through, and we are beyond thrilled to now see a calm, confident, HAPPY dog!

Bud and his team are pretty great. Ryan had our 6 month old Frankie for the two week board and train program, and she came back a very well trained dog. They did keep her for longer than the two weeks, but we appreciated the fact that they went off Frankie's pace, not their own. They never push the dog to do something it's not comfortable doing, and that is a great mantra to have when it comes to training dogs in my opinion. 10/10 would work with them again should we ever get another dog.
