Gordon's has had such a respected name on the Island, but I won't be surprised if this location, too, goes out of business. The food was a disappointment, and, even though there were only two occupied tables, two diners each, and one small table out, it was as if service wasn't a priority.

Amazing food! Havent had a meal that unique and special in awhile. Lots of gluten free options, great staff and service as well. Will be going back when in the area. Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free options, they are knowledgeable about cross contamination.

Update 3/24: it was my in-laws turn to choose dinner out and they were set on Gordon's. The salmon was inedible. Inedible. I don't use that term lightly. It was significantly undercooked and extremely fishy. The cioppino was void of flavor. The burger was tasty. Afterwards in the car, we all agreed there was zero need to return. Lots and lots of people enjoy this restaurant. We do not. Original sometime in January: Our first AND LAST trip to Gordon's. Thought we were going to an upscale restaurant for dinner. The prices were the only thing during our visit that lead us to believe it was upscale. Both of the drinks we ordered were no longer available. Server didn't know her menu or specials. Appetizer was really good. It was a special of the day, prawns with a sauce and polenta. Well the polenta wasn't great but the flavors of the sauce made up for that. Hubby ordered the Jagersnitzel which was ok. I had the wedge salad with London broil. Wedge salad was extremely boring - compare to the one at Callens which is amazing. London broil had a sweet element to it which was surprising and off-putting. Pistachio flourless cake for dessert was quite good. Here's the worst part: two employees came in to start their shift while we were there. (we went for an early dinner before 5) one of the girls walked in the door wiping her nose with her hand. She went straight to the bar to talk to a man (a manager?). While talking to him, she was constantly touching her face, chest, hair. I was fascinated so I kept watching her and HOPING that she would WASH HER HANDS before starting her shift. She did not. She could not keep her hands out of her hair while she worked. At one point, I asked my server for more water. Unfortunately, the dirty hands girl fulfilled that task, picking up my glass to refill it. I didn't touch the glass after that. Additionally, second girl that came in with her had a friend stop by. It was an loud greeting, disturbing the vibe of the restaurant. Friend sat at the bar and proceeded to chat up everyone that worked there. Experience and food were not upscale, gourmet, or romantic. Food wasn't good enough to merrit a return trip. Atmosphere definitely lacking.
