Dr Jay has been an amazing chiropractor over the years. I love the way he tacked the job and put my back at ease. However, I was most disappointed this week that when I need a back adjustment, I was forced to settle for a full exam. The reason being, they heard I was in a minor non-reportable accident that happened at speeds of less than a couple mph. There was no way possible that my body could be jolted enough to cause even the least amount harm. And now I will be making a 12 hr trip to Europe and a back that has not been adjusted all because I have to have an exam that cant be fit in before the trip!!!! Just beware of this. Today I am let down and disappointed.

I am a potentially new Customer and called to make an appointment. I was pleasantly greeted by Rena. I could hear a phone ringing in the background and Rena sounded flustered and asked if I could call back! "Ok" I replied and hung up. I thought "Hmmmm, couldn't she put me on hold or offer to call ME back! I Called back after 5 minutes and got Rena again. I gave her my name and that I would be a new patient. She immediately asked if she could call me back and asked for my phone number. She made comments about how her phone is blowing up and it was an unusual Monday and apologized. My thoughts were "This is not MY concern, this is their business, they have been practicing many years in Centralia and should be up to speed". Rena's reply was "Ok, here is how it works, I will call you back in a few minutes". At this point I am getting a little flustered by the run around so I said "ok, let me cut to the chase, does your office accept Kaiser Permanente insurance?" She replied "No........yes, but it must say "Options" in the top right hand corner of the card". I replied "No, mine doesn't say "Options" so I guess we can end this conversation" and ended the call. My First impression is mixed. Their website says office hours open at 8:30, but when I called the answering machine picked up and said office hours start at 9:00am. So that was a negative, the receptionist was clearly flustered ( I shouldn't know that) and tried to make excuses ( I shouldn't know that) another negative. I feel Rena should have asked about my insurance right up front so that she could identify me as a potential customer. The Phone system at first to me appeared archaic because she didn't put me on hold or use caller id to identify my phone number and call back. But during our conversation she asked to put me on hold...weird! Updating office hours on a website shouldn't take more than 5 minutes to change the HTML code. It is really unfortunate because the DC's both have lots of years of Chiropractic experience and I wanted to do business in my local community. But given all this I am going to speak with my Doctor and see if I can get a referral to go there. I just have to get by this receptionist and get an appointment! LOL! If I get all this squared away and make it in, I will update my review.
