Colophon Cafe

Colophon Cafe is a favorite of mine. Its a wonderful place to meet friends, take clients, or have a casual lunch with your honey. I love that you can just order and pay for half a sandwich if youre not starving. I also love their quiche and Bbat sandwich, but lots of great selections on the menu. Highly recommend!

I ordered the biscuits and gravy which was on the sandwich board as a special. It came cold and coagulated with an over-booked cold egg as well. The color was dark gray and it was very hard to even eat a few bites. I was with two others who had sandwiches and our bill was 86 dollars. Ive eaten here for three decades and this was very disappointing.

Try the African peanut soup. You won't be dissapointed. --updated March 2024 The French Dip is also quite good.

Delicious food. Had a soup and sandwich that was awesome. Wish I had room for the bakery treats as a dessert. I probably should have taken a peanut butter pie slice to go.
