The pond is one of my favorite places; it's fun to see how it changes from season to season. There are lily pads, red-wing blackbirds, cattails, beavers (though it's been a long time since I've seen them), and so many other living things to look at. There's an interpretive sign showing the various types of wildlife in and near the pond. There's a nice wide, flat path, too. The path goes past Scudder Pond into Whatcom Falls Park, where there are many other paths and areas to explore (and the fabulous Whatcom Falls). Beautiful place for a walk.
