I worked for a company as a carpenter that hired Community Strength Painters. They were awesome and us carpenters rely on good painters to cover our tracks. Its a team effort. I would definitely recommend this company. Brian is professional, does good work, and is super approachable. thumbs up

We just completed a major home renovation. At first we felt reluctant about the cost of having professionals paint the entire interior, including all new doors, wood wrapped windows and new trim, but we couldnt be happier with the excellent results achieved! Brian (owner) and his team were detail oriented (perfectionists!), hard workers, kind and exceeded our expectations! Services: Drywall repair, Door painting, Interior painting

BASIC FACTS:First and foremost, it is important to know that Community Strength Painting (formerly known as Community Strength Painters) is no longer owned by Steven Pacheaco. The business was recently taken over by Mike and Brian. You can verify this information on the Washington State Labor and Industry website (secure.lni.wa.gov/verify). WARNING:With that said, one should not trust the hundreds of local references that they share with prospective customers. Most of those references come from the time Steven Pacheaco was running the business. As I will elaborate below, Mike is singlehandedly destroying the business. MY EXPERIENCE:For all fairness, I tell you that the quality of painting job his team did is great. However, I also have to tell you that Mike just cannot run business since he is unbelievably disorganized, or more accurately he completely lacks organization. Here's a quick rundown of my ordeal with Mike.- He ignored my email for several weeks at a time, and he did so regularly.- He rescheduled my project left and right.- Most of the time, he didn't even tell me that it was rescheduled; he just did not show up. - He made me make an expensive decision on the spot.My house was originally scheduled for June. After ignoring my emails for several weeks, Mike finally emails me back in mid-May to tell me that I was rescheduled for September. He emails me in late August telling me that he would come out here to power wash the house to prepare for painting. He never showed up on the day he said he would. He didn't even call me. Just no show. So, I gave him an ultimatum in September. His team finally came out at the end of September. When his team was finishing up prepping the house for painting, Mike knocked on the door and asked me what kind of paint I wanted. I had already picked out colors and gave him the colors, but he had never told me I had to pick a specific grade of paint. So, I had to make a $1,000 decision on the spot since his crew was ready to start painting the house. His team finished painting most of my house in a week, which was very fast. He said he would come back to paint the doors, but he did not show up for 5 weeks. By the time my house was painted, it was already November! It was supposed to happen in June originally. So, I struggled to communicate with Mike for 9 months, and I finally got my house painted with a 5 month delay. I still paid almost $6,000!RECOMMENDATION:Nobody should go through what I went through with Mike. Please do yourself a favor and avoid Community Strength Painting. They may give you 250+ local references, but please keep in mind that Mike did not earn them, at least most of them. The original owner, Steven Pacheaco, was in business since 1998 and earned most of them if not all. Mike took over his business and has been living off of it. Also, in writing this review, I checked his status with the Washington State Department of Labor and Industry. I learned that, as of today (January 29, 2019), his license has been expired ("License holder did not renew").*****************************If you found something useful in my review, please hit "useful" so that I can improve my reviews.
