This is a wonderful Orthodontist. His staff is friendly, accommodating and professional. Dr. Cummins is the best Orthodontist in the state.

Due to my weird schedules, I often show up to my appointments early and Dr. Cummins and his crew ALWAYS got me in ASAP. Dr. Cummins also seems to be a perfectionist which is definitely a trait you want in an orthodontist! Very grateful to have found this place

(Please note: The first review was written on February 2022, the first update on May 2023, and second on Oct 2023.) I am a retired senior and was referred to Dr. Cummins by my dentist to correct the open bites of my teeth. I have never had braces and it would be rather unusually for me as I am no longer a teenager. I was a bit apprehensive when I must see an orthodontist as you could imagine. My first free consultation visit was most amazing! In my first visit, I have a reserved parking space in front of the office with my first name on the signpost - the first time in my life with such a VIP treatment. I did not have to wait long, and the check-in was exceptionally smooth because my dentist already had forwarded my records to the clinic. Dr. Cummins was soft spoken, patient, and very professional. I had many x-rate pictures on my teeth in every conceivable angles taken and the doctor showed me the pictures when he explained to me what work could be done. I was given several options and the pros and cons of which - he did not advise me for the most expensive ones due to my age and the solution I finally chose was the one I was most comfortable with. This visit was free, and I have no obligation to follow-up with the advice. The next visit was the beginning of the actual work, and it was much better than what I had anticipated. I have minimal inconvenience and could drink and eat with my new braces almost immediately. Better yet no one can tell I have braces unless I smile so I will try to keep my straight face most of the time! The metal braces I chose is much cheaper and sturdier than the more expensive transparent one that the orthodontist did not convince me to get. This is professionalism. All the staff in the clinics were all very friendly and helpful. This is a very well-run clinic, and I will be going back to them in the next 18 months (about 1 and a half years). I will give an update after my treatment is complete. Please accept my sincere appreciation to the doctor and staff for my office visits and safe care I had received so far. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The following is an update of my treatment after 14 months: I have had nothing but good experiences of my treatment so far and I am glad that I can see the end of the tunnel. I am looking forward to the day when my braces are removed. The staff in the office are very professional and I feel like I am going to a warm and friendly place when I go for my appointments every four weeks. I had to change and reschedule my appointments a few times due to my vacations and they were most accommodating to my need, even that means to extend the treatment time. Although my treatment, which is partly paid for by my insurance, to correct my "open bite" the doctor had taken an extra step to reposition my teeth making them looking way better than before, at no additional cost - this is an unexpected, pleasant surprise. There will be another five months to go, and I will update my treatment results after the whole treatment is complete. ____________________________________ Update on October 17 ____________________________________ My treatment has gone on for 18 months, which was the full treatment estimate time, but it is extended due to my two months vacation early in the year. My brace brackets will have to be replaced with new as I will be away for two months, and there will be some more time to go. My 4-week appointments had always been on time, virtually no waiting time. The adjustments were, fast, and with little uncomfort. My experience with wearing braces has been very positive, a present surprise. By the way, the delay and extra work have not come with extra cost, AMAZING!
