Welcome to the divorce grinder. This will be one of the gates you must pass. There exists a gender bias to the extreme and you will be treated accordingly. If you are of the affected gender you already know what I mean. Whatcom Dispute Resolution will hold you in the same contempt as modern society. I feel sorry for you and you have my sympathy. Let this be a warning to all young men who think about marriage. Attend divorce court proceedings first.

I have used the WDRC on several occasion with great results. They helped me listen, gave me a voice and all parties walked away satisfied with the results.

I didnt have a good experience. The mediator had very poor communication. Claimed to have no knowledge of basic small claims court procedures as it effects mediation. Questions went unanswered through generic responses like they just let their outlook quick parts do most of the work. They waited until the moment of our appointment to catch up on relevant emails then didnt read them correctly and gave me incorrect information, which wasted time. Then pressured me to hurry and sign a document the last minute of the day. Pressuring ME to sign a document while giving the defendant, a known narcissist, an arena to act controlling by making obviously trivial changes to said document and not giving me a second to review that change. If you are taking someone to court who is a narcissist, dont go through this process. The mediator will likely allow the narcissist to control the process. A judge wouldnt tolerate that.

After a lifetime of my sister terrorizing me and mentally  abusing me and taking my beloved mother 3,000 miles from me to Bellingham Washington no one there recommended the dispute center! Someone just trying to help said there should have been mediation which I set up with my sister and  low and behold everybody at the dispute centerthought they knew my life story!  The lady that called me asked me about my son and apparently he had been going around( my sister had gaslighted him) telling stories about so this stranger is asking me personal questions! Bottom line I drove 3000 miles and went in and the counselor made me meet with her before but didn't make my sister but obviously they they had talked to my sister! My sister has a doctorate I  social work which I guess people think oh you know that makes her a  good person. There are a  lot of sick people in every Walk of Life, when I walked in she asked my sister what she was willing to give( my sister kept telling the nursing home not to let me see my mother) it put me in dire financial, physical and mental disrepair! When my sister answered her question it was "you can have her when she's dead"! had a contract with the nursing home to call me if she was end of  life stage. They didn't of course got a call from my son who was not supposed to have my phone number at 5:00am in the morning and I knew that's what it was. I called Silverado back they said  she died last night they couldn't even reach my sister ! My poor mother was dyed all alone and scared! Silverado was supposed to send me ALL her personal items and remains but let my  sister have them! She dumped him in a warehouse in Bellingham and it's been almost 2 years and I cannot get my mother's remains and personal items back so I wouldn't recommend anybody go to the what dispute center cuz they're going to take sides and when I called after my mother died I'm hysterical I've been suffering from severe PTSD over the whole episode the only person that helped me was this little receptionist and she and then I called the lawyer and she said if you don't have any money I'm not going to even talk to you and hung up on me! and won't let me have them she hasn't been storage in Bellingham since February of 2020 so I don't have a whole lot to say for the Watson dispute center that is good or even decent!  Amy federal money that goes there needs to stop because it's very much a joke in Bellingham !Bellingham is the town from hell!
