Terrible place honestly great food and live music on Saturdays only problem is they dont enforce the rules after 11pm people under 21 need to leave and you got young girls drinking and dancing with older people and no security and lack of workers maybe three women and maybe two cooks top and thats it if it was me I would shut the place down and hire real management very upsetting to see young girls in here dancing with older guys and going outside with them and its sad because you never know if theyll go back home seriously El Rey you guys need to get ahold of restaurant!!!!

Pretty expensive for how much food was served, food was okay tasted genuine enough, server was friendly, is not as clean as I would like. Definitely feels like more effort was put into the Bar/Nightlife aspect of the location which unfortunately was not there to experience. We went earlier this year while we were next door at Menace. My wife and mother in law are Mexican and were hoping this new place would be decent. From their menu I ordered the chilaquiles. Firstly, the front desk girl couldn't find it in her system at all. I had to show her the menu to prove it was there. They had to call someone in from the kitchen to figure out what to do. They had to ring it up as something else. I don't remember what my wife and MIL got, but I know that whatever I got wasn't remotely resembling chilaquiles. They barely even qualified as nachos. It was plain flour tortilla chips with green sauce and sour cream poured on top, and hunks of scrambled eggs. I don't know what that would be, but it's not chilaquiles. My wife and MIL were likewise astonished at what they got, in a bad way. The menu nearly has as much American food such as hamburgers, hotdogs, and french fries as it does anything Mexican or Latin at all. It doesn't inspire confidence, and the food settles the deal. As the restaurant is really a Salvadorean restaurant, not a Mexican restaurant, perhaps they do Salvadorean food well. In which case they should stop pretending to be something other than that.
