We bought a fixer upper a few years ago and have had MANY different contractors in our house. I can say, without a shadow of doubt, that Mac and Mac Electric is one of the best! I used to use this shop frequently to rebuild motors for the plant I used to work at. I needed them to refurbish a hydraulic lift motor that isnt made anymore(per the manufacturer) and I couldnt find a replacement anywhere online. Long story short they scrapped it on accident because they confused it with another junk motor I had brought them previously that was for another piece of equipment. Eddie assured me hed find another one or make the situation right. Well after a few months he just ignored my texts and ghosted me. I used to speak highly of this place but that was highly unprofessional, and very irritating because the entire lift had to be thrown out and replaced with one costing around $8000 dollars. I never took any motors back there again. Very frustrating that he just stopped responding to my attempts to contact.

One of the employees came to my house without the owner's knowledge. The employee gave me an estimate which I accepted and it turned out, the employee was not authorized to give me an estimate and the owner was unaware I had been given an estimate, the job had been scheduled and was completed by two of his employees. I was quite suprised when the bill came and was nearly $1000 different from the estimate (the estimate before taxes was $2982, the final bill before taxes was $4012.) The owner disputes this but I have the text with the estimate and the bill that was sent to me. It's just math. The owner had no idea this employee had given me an estimate and completed the work at my house until he got a bill from PSE. Rather than reach out to me and explain the situation I just received the startling high bill and then had to go back and forth via email trying to understand the situation. The owner's argument was I was so lucky to be getting such a screamingly good deal and he was doing me a solid by fixing the gutter his unauthorized employee hit when he came out to do his bogus estimate. So, the electrical work passed inspection after the second visit from PSE, but apparently the company is not well managed. The owner did offer to work with me and when I asked for him to waive the credit card fee (because unbeknownst to me they only took checks or direct debit from the bank) he said I was asking for too much. I'm not sure how that is "working with me".
