I cant say this enough do NOT put your parents here. The 2 ladies that meet with you to tell you about the place will act all sweet until you start paying the several thousand dollar checks. The only good reviews are from people that dont realize how badly their parents are treated there. Then they will be rude to the residents constantly, many of the staff see this happen. Most of the caregivers and med techs are good but the fact is they are very understaffed so residents often wait hours to be helped, not a exaggeration at all, the staff can see how long theyve been waiting so not a excuse. Its not really the caregivers fault though they dont get paid nearly enough, and god forbid they get treated decently by management. The residents often receive no food or the wrong order and the food is very bad to begin with. Also if youre looking at these reviews deciding if you want to work here PLEASE save yourself and do not. The co workers are mostly decent, most of the caregivers are nice, the kitchen is all teenager boys messing up orders because theyre only there to hangout with their friends, the woman that does activities doesnt have to do much because shes in the managers little clique so she lets her do whatever she wants and she often comes in on days theres nothing to do and sits around on her phone. Just like the residents and their families, management will be nice to you until you start working there. Then, they will treat you horribly and talk badly about you where you can hear it. (These are middle aged women the fact that they act like gossipy teenagers is ridiculous) The worst is the manager of the facility. She plays clear favorites with staff and only treats those staff like actual human beings. I know managers have a job to do but this is different shes just blatantly very rude to people that arent in her little clique. The owners of the company dont care either theyve heard how terrible she is and just dont care enough about the residents or staff to change managers.

Would NOT recommend working here. I was employed for a few years, always treated poorly by upper management and they will bold face lie to you about pay, coworkers, or resident care. People cause drama and gossip like high schoolers. The management believes staff rumors that come from their favorites regardless of truth or proof. I witnessed so much neglect, abuse, illegal medication passing, sleeping on the job, coworker alcohol abuse on the property, coworkers performing sexual acts in empty rooms, coworkers stealing alcohol, money, & items from residents, & much more. State is called all the time and nothing ever happens/no consequences. Got rid of my shower aid position so I can guarantee some residents do not get their showers they pay for, as I was asking for help getting them all done once-twice a week. Residents pay outrageous prices for poor care, and poor food that is either way too big proportions or barely anything, and not very nutritious residents complain of too much pasta and startches. This could be due to the budget being so low for the kicthen. The only positive thing I have to say about working here is the residents are amazing people and love you like family, if you show you care about them, and there are a few good coworkers that go to work to get their job done and assist residents. I have 10+ years experience caregiving I know quality care when I see it and this place does not offer that to their residents like they try to make it seem.

My parents just moved in. The staff is amazing, friendly and kind. They support each other so tasks are accomplished. They work as a team. The director went above and beyond in updating my parents apartment. And the maintenance man has also been very helpful. We are excited for the new journey ahead at Orchard Park.
