Ive been to this office two to three visits over the last two years, I was willing to drive an hour and half for Dr Michael Gilberts expertise but I will never ever go back, rude staff, I waited for two hours before I was seen and I was still ok.. my last straw is the insurance bait and switch games not billing the vision plan and going for my medical insurance just seems unethical only because I saw Dr Gilbert and not the other less experienced doctors, mind you the last two visits were the same. Nothing was disclosed at or prior to visit. Amanda in billing hung up on me when I demanded she does the right thing they are stuck up unprofessional and condescending, there are better options out there.

This is the first time that I ever write a review I was gonna say their front desk is not doing their job at all! As a health care worker I clearly know they should all have their patients insurance checked before they got there. Not telling me 20 mins after I checked in! I called twice to confirm uploaded my insurance and send it to them a day before. I wouldnt be mad if they let me know the same day before I got there. Whoever does the insurance checked should get fire. Or they just dont have a good system at all. Be careful even if your insurance said they are in network but they might changed their mind and telling you they not after you checked in

I was harassed by wrongful billing many months. The Institute added $55.00 of refraction charge to MY post-surgery procedure on 5/30/2023. Add another $55.00 refraction charge to my annual comprehensive check-up ON 1/8/2024. Keep sending harassing billing month after month. I am an 80 years senior, I didn't know how to stop the harassment. The refraction should included in the above procedures, especially the annual comprehensive eye exam. On both appointment I didn't ask for any additional special refraction exam

Checked in online with precheck, once I got there there were like 5 people working at front desk and they were having coffee and talking. I asked to check in and gave me a look like your interrupting. Asked for all my info again. When I asked what pre check was for he said , you should have just checked in at the kiosk. Just need a giant attitude and adjustment and coaching. Rest of visit was fine ish.

I recently had successful cataract surgery. I was amazed and delighted when, at 6pm that night, my surgeon,Dr.Michael J.Gilbert actually CALLED ME. He was checking to see if I was doing fine, and if I had any questions!!!! WOW. I am IMPRESSED. Had the other one done several days ago,and he called again. This is service.
