        A couple months ago, I pulled just about every muscle in my left hip and was in excruciating pain. I saw three doctors, who just prescribed stronger and stronger muscle relaxers and Ibuprofen, which did nothing but back up my stools. PT was my next course of action...nope...I could do all the stretching in the world but to no avail. So being in in great pain, feeling depressed and my quality life sucked, I nervously tried Dr. Haugen, (a chiropractor...eek!). BEST DECISION I MADE! Dr. Haugen listens, finds your "groove" (type of lifestyle you lead) and helps you get back to where you want to be...PAIN FREE. She is non-aggressive (meaning very gently adjustments), 25 years in the business with a plethora of chiro techniques and knows one type of adjustment doesn't fit all. After a few weeks of CONSISTENT adjustments, the reduction of my pain and quality of life has greatly improved. Dr. Haugen has the best positive, energized personality. I always leave her clinic feeling like I'm Mary Tyler Moore and tossing my hat in the air (only oldies will get that).

        I came to Higher Health two months after a car accident. I was in pain 24/7. I did not have insurance at the time but was working with an attorney. I had a difficult time being believed, trusted and listened to by the medical world. Dr. Haugen listened and confirmed that I was "broken" due to the accident. She continues to support my on-going improvement in health and works with me and my budget!

        I had a referral from my GO for massages. I was told I had to get an appt with the chiropractor first in order to get a massage. They asked for my credit card and scheduled a massage without me making an appt with the chiropractor. Today I get a text from them saying there is a $55 dollar concierge fee being added to my appointment. This was not disclosed when I made the appointment. This is punitive and corny. Cancelled my appointment. Still awaiting confirmation of cancellation. Pushy and weird.

        Dr. Haugen & her staff are absolutely amazing! I feel completely cared for every time I go to her practice and have seen great results. The care level is very high, I have never experienced a chiropractor with so much attention to detail from the beginning to end of your experience. Highly recommend!

      Hi Karin!I’m sorry you did not have a good experience at our office. If you look at your text again you will see we were actually giving you “transparency”on our charges so that you do not have any surprises when you arrive. Insurance is not straight forward and reimbursements are low. This is why a lot of offices aren’t accepting it for massage therapy anymore.“Like most offices”, we hold appointments with a credit card to protect our provider’s time if a patient does not show up for their appointment. We are actually the opposite of pushy and weird and this is why we are very busy and have been for 25 years. I wish you the best with your search for a new office.
