image Russell's great! His coworker is horrendous. Sean Caudle is horrible, my family has been with farmers for 20 plus years, but Sean has been consistently rude. Sean and Russel offer "storage" where you don't pay insurance on your paid off vehicle because its in storage. To reactivate it I called the office and Sean told me "you know this taking it out of storage is more of a once a month thing, which is fine, so I asked him when the last time I activated it, which I knew was well over a month, then the excuse came that he doesn't keep track of that etc. It's not just this instance, Sean is consistently Rude, we switched insurances solely because of him.

image Everyone needs to know about Farmer's and Oudomsouk's invasive new home insurance policy where they use satellite imaging to photograph your home and yard without notice or permission. Oudomsouk's agency informed us that our home policy was in a state of non-renewal due to scattered debri in our yard. Aerial photographs were recently taken and scattered debri has been identified. I own a structural steel business and use the back field to store equipment and materials. We also heat our house with a wood burning fireplace so stacks of wood exist. Agency did not tell us exactly what the scattered debri was. We were told to clean it and take pictures if we want to keep our home insurance. Understandably confused and upset, we told her we will get new insurance and she said we are going to have a difficult time finding insurance because all the insurance companies are now taking aerial photographs.
Fast forward 2 weeks; notice of cancellation by mail. Husband calls Oudom. Ask to see the photos. Oudom would not produce the "photos". We request agents sent to our home to photograph exactly what the problem was. Oudom and his wife came over and took photos. He said in person that he doesn't see anything of concern but that he took photos of things he thinks might be concerning the "underwriters". The photos were sent to the underwriters by Oudom.
ONE MONTH LATER - I call Oudom's office to ask about the underwriters. Woman answers (I wish I could remember her name) and I explain everything to her. She was not sympathetic at all. It took me several times of asking her what on my property needs to be moved for her to admit that she can see the photos and comments from the underwriters. So, she starts by asking me if I've moved a stack of wood that was next to my flatbed trailer. I asked her what kind of hazard that stack of wood poses on my property? I thought maybe a fire hazard; she tells me that its a "Trespassing Hazard". I asked her what a trespassing hazard is; she replied, "If someone were to trespass onto your property, trip over that stack of wood and hurt themselves, they could sue us so it is a hazard." I couldn't believe my ears. Farmer's wants me to move a stack of wood on my property because it is a tripping hazard for trespassers. I asked her if she knows how stupid that is... no response. I asked her for a written response via email about what was in the photos; She hung up on me. Oudom called next day to apologize and said he would message the underwriters to find out and get me a written response. One month later, the day after Christmas and 3 weeks before my policy expires he gets back to me and says this, Quoted directly from my email:
"Hello Gabriel,
Hope all is well, sorry for the delay, I heard back for the inspection team mid last week but unfortunately, I got into an accident and wasn't able to do much work. I am ok and back at work today so I wanted to reach out, I have attached the pjoto from the inspection team.
This is their response:
The Non-Renewal Stands. We will still need photos showing the following AMCE hazards have been remediated: Scattered debris on premises creating an increased hazard due to debris/clutter visible in the photos provided. Please see the attached photo that outlines what we will need further photos of to sufficiently address the non-renewal reason. (The photo has also been uploaded to the policy documents tab). There is unverifiable debris/clutter and an unfenced trampoline in the attached photo. Please provide additional photos addressing these concerns. I wasn't able to verify if the area where the trampoline is fully fenced, which falls under debris and clutter. The dwelling is not rural enough as there are neighbors nearby, the trampoline is required to be fenced or removed. As for the additional debris in the back part of the property, we need to verify what the debris is and if it has function or not. As there are multiple stacks/area of debris present in the photos provided, this is why the non-renewal stands."
I attached the photo. Do not go with Farmers.

We are committed to addressing your concerns promptly and professionally.We would like to highlight that we proactively reached out to you well before the renewal date, notifying you of the non-renewal decision and offering assistance.
