In my more than 60 years of driving, I have generally avoided dealership service departments. Instead, finding a reliable repair shop (not a chain) where I know who is working on my vehicle and they know me. But, since acquiring my 2016 Nissan Titan Diesel, I've been dealer only. That's because: 1. It's a diesel. 2. We travel, towing a trailer 2-3 months at a time. We have relied on Nissan svc depts in Augusta, GA, Oklahoma City, OK, Atlanta, GA, San Diego, CA, and of course here in Woodbridge, VA. They may not be the Gold Standard (not sure what that would be), but my digital record follows me, repairs (yes, there have been some) have been effective, meaning I haven't had to go back for the same issue, and the up front people have been courteous and supportive (extremely important when you are thousands of miles away from home). Auto Giants works for me. Recommend them.
