        This was one of the best history tours we ever been on. Michael our tour guide knew everything about the headquarters and the little known facts of the house. He had expert knowledge of all the artifacts. Our tour was over 1 1/2 hours of living thru the Valley & Jacksons events. One-of-kind Artifacts including the canteen he took his last sip of water before he died. Many items were original and we were able to see up close. Definitely worth a stop. Highly recommend this small museum. This home was once owned by Mary Tyler Moores Great Grandfather. He fought with Jackson.

        Enjoyed the tour guide and had wished I had remembered his name he was from Connecticut state, I think, and was very interesting, & historically informative about the life of (Stonewall) Thomas Jackson & his headquarts residence. We enjoyed out time there very well.
