The Ivy Chest Floral and Decor

Donnie was an absolute doll! I called the morning I needed a flower arrangement for my female friend and her daughters. I showed up at 3pm on a Friday and she stopped what she was doing to help for for almost an hour. She made a gorgeous arrangement for my girl, and two smaller lovely arrangements for her daughter. Excellent chat, service, and atmosphere at her shop. Thanks again, I'll be back!

If you need your vision for ANY event to come to life, go see Kaleigh and Donnie. This mother-daughter duo listen to your every word and can carry out a vision with ease. They are so talented at what they do! Not to mention, fun, loving, and just as enthusiastic about your event as you are. Go see them for anything from weddings, to baby showers, to girls night dinners. They won't disappoint!

Edited to respond to business: The lack of communication extended to Donnie not providing the details necessary to deliver the payment after multiple requests. This review is for two services provided by the Ivy Chest: wedding flowers and day-of coordination. The flowers were beautiful and arrived on-time to our venue. The bride was happy with her bouquet and both the ceremony and reception decor were well executed. There was a small issue with the Ivy Chest taking the bride's bouquet and centerpieces during clean-up (which was not specified in our contract), but we were able to obtain these items the following day. It was an inconvenience, but we were grateful to receive the items back. We'd overall recommend the Ivy Chest for flowers. We would, however, not recommend the Ivy Chest for day-of coordination at this time. We do not feel an adequate level of attention to detail was given to us or our wedding. We found ourselves repeating details of our day and correcting mistakes throughout the process. Communication was lacking and was often interrupted by other, unrelated calls. Days before our event and we never received a seating chart, despite this being a service provided in our contract lanuage. Once we received it, we had to redo most of it due to mistakes and inconsistencies. After our contract was mutually terminated, we coordinated our own wedding, which was the right decision for us.

When I first met Donnie, I immediately loved her floral arrangements. She had such a fun attitude and really knew what she was talking about. During my consultation, I told her what my centerpieces would look like, my color scheme, and some of the flowers/greenery I had in mind. I ordered flowers for centerpieces, the ceremony aisle and arch, bouquets and boutonnires. She did such a great job with all the flowers! Everything looked so beautiful and truly brought all of my decorations together. While Donnie is great at designing floral arrangements, I wouldnt be doing anyone a true service if I didnt mention that she arrived 2 1/2 hours late to my wedding. This then set back the photographer and the caterer. We werent able to get as many getting ready and first look photos as I had originally planned. The flowers were absolutely stunning and we received so many compliments on them; however, there is something to be desired for time management.

My daughter and I did a floral arrangement class here. They were so wonderful with her and very welcoming. We will be be back for a future class!
