I haven't physically been to the Winchester office yet but due to extensive traveling distance I have telehealth counseling on Zoom every week with Sonia. My words in this review simply cannot.....I mean CANNOT... express the experience I have had with her over these past few months. Sonia is knowledgeable, professional, kind, caring, empathetic and a straight shot of hope and encouragement. She has gone out of her way to help get me through an EXTREMELY difficult time in my life. We have had to adjust session times, reschedule, add multiple sessions into the week to help me get through and she has engaged in family therapy with me as well. Sonia is loaded with tools, resources, and strategies on how to make it just one more day! Great counselors come few and far between these days. Many of them today make you feel less then or see you as just another patient #, a dollar sign, or yet another low life junkie. I have had MANY counselors that were sub-par! However Sonia is ABOVE-par. There is a delicate balance between providing great therapy and truly, seriously, relating to someone, being SO VERY REAL and still keeping the counselor/therapist to patient/client boundaries. Well she has absolutely MASTERED that part! Sonia relates to me, doesn't just hear me but actually listens to me, gives genuine care, concern and empathy and treats me like the human being I am. ALL I need to try and do my best at remaining clean and succeeding for yet another day. Now I know some therapists only work well with some people but I'm telling you now.....If you are given the option to choose a counselor Sonia is the best way to go!

BrightView is the best thing that ever happened to me. The people I work with are kind and caring and helped save my life. This place is a god send. If you need help go. The people here walk with you step by step. And support you through the entire journey.

You can lead a horse to water but you cannot make him drink. I was referred to Brightview in the midst of dying for thirst. I truly love my providers, my people, at Brightview. They'll always get credit for saving me. -Helen
