I stayed here with my girlfriend for a Busch Gardens trip in March. Check-in was simple, and they gave us warm cookies when we arrived! The room was as expected. Clean, modern...a place to sleep with air conditioning. Noise levels were great, and the beds weren't too soft or firm for us. Breakfast may not have been free, but it was delicious, and there were a good amount of options. Eggs Benedict, pancakes, pastries, etc...my one gripe is that you can't get refills on drinks, but we didn't mind too much. Dinner was a little more limited, but very good all the same. Mostly pub/bar food, but good quality. Lots of alcohol options as expected though.

In our five nights here, we encountered so many friendly and incredibly helpful employees who went out of their way to be of service to us, and only one (a female working the bar) who was not friendly or helpful. The hotel is dated, and it is annoying that you will be awoken in the morning and evening not just by rude people in the hallways, but by leafblowers by the pool in the early a.m., but even so, I would stay here again, because of so many friendly employees who really make all the difference. (piece of history: i stayed here decades ago, when it was a Marriott, and this is my family's first time back)

Stayed here 4/5/24 because of close proximity to Busch Gardens. I expected much more out of a Doubletree. Extremely dated rooms and lobby. Room was not very clean. Stains on the furniture. Silverfish in the bathroom. Extremely loud and seemed like we could hear every child staying in the hotel. Cherry on top was the fire alarm going off near 9pm and everyone having to evacuate. Little to no communication from staff during this event and never received and official all clear from anyone. Would not stay again.

My boyfriend and I have stayed at the Doubletree by hilton in Arlington, VA and absolutely loved it there! We saw the good reviews for this location and how close it was to Busch gardens and thought it was the perfect stay. Joke was on us When we arrived to check in, the attendant tried to charge us again, even though we had payed in advance when we booked our room. We quickly cancelled the transaction and the attendant could not figure out how to get us checked in. Once he got a manager, she helped us quickly and we went to our room. No one told us about parking, but we received a small parking pass that said it was $10 a day (we ended up getting charged 6 times when we only stayed two nights. A total of $64 instead of $20). The room did not look maintained - water stains ALL OVER the ceiling, stains on the walls/floorboards, the bathroom door looked like someone ripped a chunk out of it and they threw drywall over it and called it a day, ETC. The toilet was not working properly and we called for assistance (the phone does not work unless you put it on speaker) and it took them 40 minutes to come help us. The fire alarm also went off around 9pm one of the nights we stayed and there was no staff to direct us where to go or when it was safe to go back inside. The staff was just not very hospitable and I did not feel like I was in a nice hotel, which I was under the impression I would be in based off the Arlington location.
