A DON'T miss in Williamsburg Market. We went in for something sweet to go with morning coffee, went back in afternoon to get something more. Then back again the next morning before leaving town

Got here at 1:30 on a Tuesday and they were pretty much wiped out! We got a strawberry bomboli and it was delicious -- good strawberry cream filling (real whipped cream, not the stabilized kind), and the "doughnut" part was nice and yeasty, though maybe a little dry. Overall a good place while wandering around W&M and Williamsburg.

NOTE: Blackbird must have changed management or ownership early in 2023. The staff were suddenly completely different and the pastry offerings were dramatically reduced. It's nothing like it used to be.. ALSO NOTE: Blackbird Bakery does NOT offer croissants. They offer something they _call_ a croissant, but it's NOT a croissant. It's just bread. There are no delicates layers or flaky texture or buttery taste. It's just a roll in the shape of a croissant. If you want a real croissant you have to go 1/2 block to Aroma's. They offer a real, flaky, buttery croissant but you need to get there early because they're usually sold out by noon.
