We cannot say enough about how well Eric Tan and William Verallis took care of us. It is easy to say yeah yeah, thats just people doing their job. But when youre buying a home sight unseen, from a different country, and using lenders and realtors you have never met before like we were, then who you have on your team 100% matters. Especially when there are so many horror stories about the home buying process. I believe Will works under Eric so we mostly worked with Will and then Eric would chime in when needed. Both were extremely knowledgable and responsive. There were times we would email Will outside of business hours, fully expecting not to hear anything back until their office reopened, but there would be an almost immediate reply. We were trying to close on the home within 30 days so those quick responses kept the process moving and on time to meet that goal. This was not my first time buying a home nor my first time using the VA loan so I thought I was well-versed in the majority of the process. However, there were certain things that did/did not apply to me because of that and I was not aware it would have an affect on the process. They helped to educate me on that to stay protected. The plan was to bring my wife and kids to the States to set up them up then go back overseas to finish my tour and household goods. Which left my wife to do the closing signing for us both alone. The city we bought the home in was not the city that their office was based out of so I was not expecting them to be there. I FaceTimed my wife so she wouldnt feel alone and overwhelmed with a paralegal she never met and a huge stack of papers to sign. It was so unexpected yet so relieving to see Eric, Will, and our realtor walk through the door to be there with my wife through the entire signing. If this is your first time buying a home, it is not common for loan officers to be there for closing. The fact that Eric and Will drove from several cities over to be there and brought house warming gifts meant a lot to us. If you are looking for a team that will take care of you through the entire process, then you will be in good hands here. We will always recommend VA Wholesale Mortgage, Eric, and Will. Purchasing a home can be frustrating and intensive, the communication from Eric and Will made the process smooth and comforting. Eric and his team showed that we werent just a number, we are family! Will was amazing, he communicated very well, and knew how to get his client to closing. Anyone can give you a great rate, what you are really looking for is someone that answers when you call, and knows how to creatively overcome obstacles to get the client what they ultimately want, a new home. Great job Will, looking forward to the next one.
