Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront

This hotel is the best place I have stayed period! The staff goes out of their way to be accommodating. We arrived in Virginia, earlier than expected. We called the hotel about checking in early. They were able to get us a room and we made the meeting. We had another meeting on checkout and we needed a place to leave our bags. The staff came through again. You only get this type of service from people who care about customers and their business. Thank You so much Thomas and Jean. You guys are awesome.

It is a very very bad experience in this hotel. First, Marriott 's online book system is not trustable, except you have their app. I booked the room online, but I didn't receive confirmation letter on time. I doubt if I didn't submit payment successfully.so I rebooked one room one night. And then I received the confirmation letter for one room one night. However,when I arrived the hotel to check. I was told I booked two rooms one night. Actually I didn't receive the other confirmation letter. I never use the Marriott app either. Even though finally the manager cancelled the extra room, but her attitude is very rude, and she kept complaining about everything is the customer's fault. Second, please see the photos. The gums were hard in the comforter. I don't know how long it was over there. I show the photos to the reception. No reaction. I knew it was a busy day. I didn't have time to packy stuff and change to another room(or no extra room). Later I called the reception and told her my room number and what I found again, I asked them to change the comforter or bed sheet or cover. She confirmed she would ask someone to take care of this. However, when I came back after 2 hours, this disgusting thing was still over there. Third, if you are not a Marriott member, you cannot use the hotel internet. And the reception doesn't know this. I asked for help but no response , finally I figure this out by myself. I have to join the Marriott member and log in as member first. Forth, the internet is very very bad. When I used the laptop to read the webpage, the Internet was disconnected many times within an hour. Finally, I have to use my cellphone 's hotspot to work. My friend who lived in another room , had the exact same experience as mine. I cannot believe it was run by Marriott a famous Brand or Marriott runs hotels in this way. I stayed in many different hotels, such as haytt 's series and Hilton 's series. I never complained. For this hotel, it's no surprise that bad, strange things happen.
