Automotive Remedies

My husband told me about this place and now the only place I will go. Damian and Daniel are quality guys. They don't upsell or look for issues, they are honest, friendly, and fair mechanics. Also, they sell vehicles that they purchase after a thorough maintenance check and clean up. I suggest it for anything short of upholstery work, but they know someone down witchduck that they recommend. This place is also always clean and professional, and whether you need an inspection or work done, you shouldn't think of anywhere else.

Went to get my car inspected. Got rejected, which is honestly no big deal. Frustrating, but really not a big issue. However when I was trying to figure out what went wrong, calmly, with the gentleman at the front desk, the mechanic came from out back "trying to fight". Turned a pretty calm situation into a hostile one. Not necessary or professional. 1/10 Trying to fight customers is pretty uncool

tried to get my truck inspected yesterday and got a call back late in the day that I cannot have aux lighting on the front of the truck. funny, truck had been inspected twice before by others without any such discussion. Called the one prior inspector (now about 40 miles away since I've moved and also the guy who installed the lights) and he indicated there was a bulletin put out years ago negating that old law. spoke to owner of automotive "remedies" and he had a different understanding. so they slapped a "REJECTION" sticker on where the old sticker used to be....(a vindictive jackass maneuver in my opinion) got in touch with another place today, they indicated same story as prior inspector....."as long as on a separate switch and they don't come on when the headlights are engaged, it is ok". I would ask for my $20 back but the owner was a bit pissy with me yesterday so I figure this will cost him way more. I would consider them unprofessional at best. only 4 parking slots vs the 50+ cars in the lot where I'm going at noon today. those folks were slammed with many high end and customized cars and trucks. I found my new inspection station and mechanic. amazing how short sighted and ignorant some people can be....all at once. guess they kind of go hand in hand.

I called this shop today asking for an oil change. First, the guy that I spoke with was rude and didn't show any interest of doing business with me. And second, they wont service your OWN car with the oil of your choice. They will only use the oil that they have. He tried to explain it to me and said that they only use the manufacturer's recommendation (which is not bad), BUT, whats bad is, I told him that the oil that the manufaturer recommends for my car is actually the oil that Im using (which is Castrol and thats straight from my car's manual), he just said, "that is why Im telling you that this shop is not for you!" and he said that very rudely. And when I heard that, thats when I know that he cant be trusted because he doesnt know what he is talking about. The oil they use is not the manufacturer's recommendation, its what they have. Lol. Check your manual first and dont believe them just because they say "manufacturer's recommendation". Yeah right. I hanged up the phone and didnt even think about going to that shop. You can go there if you can trust them. Or you can go to accurate-tune plus. The owner is very nice and professional. They respect what you want for your OWN car. Shop is clean. l just got my oil change done there. And I just gave them a 5 star.
